Meet Lakewood’s Information Technology Manager, Michael Coletta

Today we are introducing Mayor George’s Information Technology Manager, Michael Coletta. 

Michael is a graduate of Case Western Reserve University (MBA) and John Carroll University (B.S. in Computer Science). He has over 20 years of I.T. management experience including 15 years at the City of Lakewood, starting with Mayor Tom George’s administration. As I.T. Manager, Michael, along with his staff of 3 support the planning, acquisition, management, and support of the city’s LAN and fiber networks, servers, PCs, software systems, phones and IP cameras for all departments. Michael is on call 24×7. He supports the police and fire departments after hours and on the weekends. He really admires Lakewood’s first responders and likes being there to support them when they need assistance.

When asked about his goals for the city, he said: “To provide technological solutions so that quality city services can be delivered in the most efficient and cost-effective way possible”.

Fun Fact: Michael is an avid reader. His favorite books are from Japanese author Haruki Murakami.
