Juvenile Diversion
The goal of the City of Lakewood’s Juvenile Diversion Program is to work with juveniles/parents in Lakewood to prevent future delinquent behaviors and or unruly behaviors by juveniles. Juveniles will be redirected from the Cuyahoga County Juvenile Court system through programming, supervision, and supports. The first step in correcting these behaviors is for juveniles to recognize their actions are wrong. Participation in the program is voluntary, and contingent on the juvenile accepting responsibility for their actions for the delinquency or unruly charge.
