Arrest made in Lakewood High School Threat

On September 14, 2019 at 5:47 PM, the Lakewood Police Department received a telephone call from the Cleveland Office of the FBI. The FBI had received a tip from the social media website Snapchat that someone had made a threat to bring a weapon the Lakewood High School on Monday September 16, 2019.

Lakewood Police Department personnel followed up on this tip and traced the Snapchat posting back to a twenty-one-year-old male Lakewood resident. The resident was placed under arrest and is currently in the Lakewood Jail. The party will be interviewed by Detectives and the appropriate legal charge(s) will be forwarded to the Lakewood City Prosecutor for review.
