Lakewood Police Youth Basketball Tournament set for April 6th

On Saturday, April 6th, the Lakewood Police Dept will be holding their annual Youth Basketball tournament at Lakewood High School, 14100 Franklin Boulevard.. Fifth grader teams from each of Lakewood’s seven public elementary schools will compete against each other in a single elimination tournament format.  The first game begins at 9:00 a.m., and the championship game begins at 2:00 pm.  Admission is free, and all are welcome to attend.

Representatives from the Lakewood Community Services Center will be collecting monetary donations, non perishable items, and hygiene products for the less fortunate during the tournament. There will also be a raffle sponsored by the Police Department and Lakewood Teacher’s Association.   The raffle drawing will be held at halftime of the championship game. Winners need not be present.
