City of Lakewood Accepting Qualifying Major Event Waiver Applications for the MLB All-Star Game. Deadline May 3, 2019 at Noon.
April 25, 2019Cleveland will be hosting the All-Star Game and festivities July 5 through July 10, 2019. This event qualifies as a “major event” which, according to State law, provides for permitted special extended hours . The 4:00 a.m. extended last call liquor permit was last allowed during the Republican National Convention.
In Lakewood, the deadline for liquor permit holders to apply for a special “major event” waiver is Noon on May 3, 2019. Lakewood liquor permit holders interested in seeking a Qualifying Major Event Waiver for July 8 and July 9 may find the waiver application on the Department of Commerce – Division of Liquor Control’s website. The application must be completed and delivered to the Mayor’s Office no later than Noon on May 3, 2019. The Mayor’s Office is located at City Hall, 12650 Detroit Avenue, Lakewood, Ohio 44107.
