The “Communities in Action: Building a Better Ohio” forum with President Biden will focus on the impact of the American Rescue Plan, the Bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, the CHIPS Act, and other recent federal actions.
In addition to the City of Lakewood, the forum with President Biden will be attended by civic leaders from across Ohio, including the mayors of Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinnati, Dayton, Toledo, Akron, Youngstown, Elyria, Lorain, Lima, and Athens.
“I am looking forward to joining many of my peers from around Ohio to meet with President Biden and share how cities like Lakewood have successfully leveraged federal funds with other local, state, and community dollars to improve quality of life and achieve transformative projects,” said Mayor Meghan F. George. “Through ARPA funds alone, the City of Lakewood has been able to keep people in their homes during the pandemic, invest in catalytic development and infrastructure projects; and improve public safety.
