Mayor Summers Presents 2016 State of the City Address
February 25, 2016Lakewood Mayor Michael P. Summers hosted his sixth-annual State of the City address at The Lakewood Masonic Temple on Wednesday.
This year’s presentation — titled “Foundation for Our Second Century” — highlighted the city’s achievements, opportunities and challenges, with a particular emphasis on Lakewood’s future.
Among the topics covered were the city’s four main objectives:
- Sound governance
- Vibrant neighborhoods
- Economic development
- A safe and secure Lakewood
